Celebrating 2020 Anniversaries!

2020 has been a year filled with many surprises and challenges.  It has also been an incredibly busy year for us and for that, we are very thankful and humbled.  At the heart of GDI are our wonderful, dedicated employees.  We could not accomplish all we do without them!  Two of our office staff members are celebrating important milestones this year.  Our Office Manager, Dacia Bowen, is celebrating 15 years with us, and our Kitchen and Bath Designer, Deb Esborn, is celebrating 10 years.  Normally at this time of year, we would have a Christmas party and celebrate their accomplishments, but everything is a bit different this year.

After 15 years, Dacia has grown and expanded her role as Office Manager- she could just about run GDI single handedly.  Our clients may not interact with her as regularly as some of our other staff, but she is just as integral to every project, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. She is George’s right hand and keeps all of us in line!

When Deb initially started with us, she was mainly a kitchen designer, but has also developed into an expert on bathroom design, especially on accessibility issues.  She also received her Accredited Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) Certification from the National Kitchen and Bathroom Association (NKBA).  Our clients are always thrilled with their kitchen and bath design- not only are they beautiful, but practical!

We are all so proud of both of these ladies and all they have accomplished over the years.  We are so happy they have been a part of the GDI team for this long and look forward to many more years with both of them at GDI!  Congratulations, Dacia and Deb!

To our friends and customers

By now, everyone knows that the construction industry is experiencing incredible demand, supply chain issues, price increases, and lack of skilled labor.  The word ‘unprecedented’ is thrown around a lot and does not do justice to what we are experiencing.  As much as we try to be realistic with our commitments, we started to see delays, product availability issues, and price increases, such as-

If your project is in construction, you are our priority.  We will do everything we possibly can to complete your project quickly without sacrificing quality or our integrity in any way.

If your project is in the design or planning phase, we will continue to develop the plans and specifications for you, but we beg your patience as we finish up those who came before you.

If you are thinking about calling us for a new project, please know that your work is equally important to us since we will need new projects to move on to, so we are counting on you!

Going forward, our only promise will be that we will do the very best we can for you.  We will try to build reasonable schedules, including planned delays, but will also qualify them realizing we just do not know what to expect. We love what we do, we love our clients, and we want to keep it that way. Thank you for your understanding!
